This is a ticketed event. Help us make sure it’s SOLD OUT.
Imagine having dinner and drinks with a room full of mystery and thriller readers, then spending an hour listening to a couple of writers talk about books, the writing craft, and how ideas turn into stories.
Friends, I give you Minnesota Mystery Night.
Started by Minnesota writer Rob Jung in 2022, attending MMN is like coming home after a long trip.
In a time when it feels like everything in our lives is on a screen or part of an app, MMN is a breath of fresh air. No social media, no influencers, just readers and writers sharing a meal and good conversation.
Leave your smartphone in your pocket. We’re going analog.
In June, the guests were New York Times bestselling authors Craig Johnson, of Longmire fame, and William Kent Krueger.
In July, the Bruns-Olson writing team, David Bruns and J.R. Olson, takes the microphone in conversation with Carmen Amato.
If you don't know Carmen, you should. A 30-year CIA veteran, Carmen is the author of the Detective Emilia Cruz mystery series, pitting the first female police detective in Acapulco against cartels, corruption, and social inequality as she hunts for Mexico’s missing.
Like our books, she writes fiction grounded in reality about ordinary people in extraordinary circumstances. The kind of stories that tell of the messiness and goodness that exist in the world.
Come watch the fun as Carmen grills a couple of Navy Guys!
